Default Question about the Ford 9inch Rear

I was talking 2 a buddy of mine and he was telling me that the FORD 9 inch rear end came stock on Cadillac or Buick town cars. i have heard that the ford 9 inch rear end is a damn good rear end. can u guys confirm whether or nor this is true about the rears coming in those cars. also how much cutting if any would it take to fit that rear onto my Z?

Either you or your buddy have some serious issues. Buick and Cadillac never made town cars, that would be a Lincoln. The FORD 9" never came from the factory in any GM product. Some of the heavy duty trucks came with axles that use a similar drop out center section to a 9" but are much larger.

You'd be way better off buying an axle housing from Moser than trying to make a standard 9" fit your car. Most cars and trucks that had them had leaf spring rear suspensions, your car has coil springs. The cutting and welding would be very extensive.
