I went with 3" true duals and 3" x pipe. I had a shop locally make the exhaust. I'm very happy and IMO true duals sound 100x better than people with ORY's. Good luck.

LT's/X or H/Muffler of your choice.

Most common mufflers are DynoMax Bullets, Borla XR-1's, Sweet Thunder Chambered, Magnaflow 4x9's, and my personal favorite is the Flowmaster 10 series. You can use an H pipe if you want a little deeper tone but the X pipe will give you a little more power. You can go 3" or 2.5" piping and dump it before the axle, go under the axle out the back, or try to route it over the axle out the back. Also, rarely, people will throw on some cats, but that doesnt happen much. True duals will give you a tad more power than a y pipe set-up, but their selling point is their sound. The right set-up sounds absolutely wicked. Hope all this helps.

Check out www.ls1sounds.com and listen to all the true dual set-ups.

I just put on a custom built 3" true dual setup. It's got an H pipe and 14" bullet mufflers. The sound is simply amazing...my radio has only been on once since the header install and that was to make sure it was working...then the windows went back down and the radio back off.

I will say this though...it's pretty damn loud.
