Low lift (sort of) & a little longer duration???
Does anyone make a cam with 230 / 230 .550 / .550 on 112 or 114 lsa?
Comp doesn't list anything like this in their catalog.
TR jumps from 224 to 240 with the Trex with high lift.
I want a cam that will be easier on valve springs.
I wouldn't even mind 226 / 230 .550 / .550

You might be interested in the GM ASA cam. Specs:
Duration @ 0.050" (I/E):226/236
Lift (I/E): 0.525"/0.525"
Lobe Separation: 110
Maybe some 1.8 rockers will get you the lift you're looking for.

Excuse my ignorance, but is the idea behind less lift with long(ish) duration to make good top-end power will less valve spring stress? With all the talk of broken springs (singles and duals) this sounds like a great idea.

*Generally* speaking of cams, more lift can build more power without affecting the powerband too much. The drawback is valvetrain stress. More duration also makes more power, but will shift the power band up the rpm's a bit sometimes costing you some low end power.

I noticed the comp 224 / 228 .534 / .537 112cam after I posted this message. I like that design.
The Lunati LUN55007: 230/237 .544/.543 112 +4 looks good too.
Yes thats exactly why. I know I'll move the powerband up but hopefully not to far.
Does anyone know what RPM peak HP will occur for the Comp cam listed above, it will be used with longtubes?
I don't want to change the bottom end at this time.
