Pacesetter Problem
I just installed my headers earlier this week and I have a terrible ticking sound coming from the driver side header. Any ideas on what it could be and how to fix it, or should I give the people at Pacesetter a cal and see about getting a replacement.

One thing to keep in mind is that they are thinner walled than manifolds so any engine ticks (LS1's seem to get them a lot, for one reason or another) already there will be more noticeable than with manifolds. I have a decent engine tick from my driver side header area as well, but I am ignoring it.
I will be redoing the valvetrain come spring time anway. lol

What gaskets did you use? tha'ts good question......I hope you reused stock gaskets or bought new GM ones and not any paper gaskets that might have come with the headers........

I have a ticking sound coming from the passenger side header. The guy that fabbed up my duals told me that it is a leak. I know a lot of people say reuse the stock gaskets, but I will be replacing them with either fel pros or new stock gaskets. Hopefully that cures it. I don't think mine is in the valve train, at least I hope not!

Just a ticking sound for me, I bought some band clamps yesterday and am going to use these to see if that works, also going to tighten the header bolts again, maybe that will get it to go away.
