Default Vettes first dyno run

Thought I'd throw up some numbers. The Vette is an A4 with 4.5k on the clock.

Corvette
Pull 1 285.0 RWHP & 296.1 RWTQ
Pull 2 282.6 RWHP & 292.5 RWTQ
Pull 3 280.5 RWHP & 298.5 RWTQ

All runs made back to back.

And just for grins, here's my Marauder too.

Marauder
Pull 1 250.7 RWHP & 262.0 RWTQ
Pull 2 242.0 RWHP & 249.0 RWTQ
Pull 3 233.9 RWHP & 242.2 RWTQ

The computer crashed between runs 1 and 2 and the car sat running for 9 minutes between runs, which in my little world explains the drop. Runs 2 and 3 were back to back.

Here's the nitty gritty:
DynoJet equipment, and all results are SAE corrected. Both cars have table tops for torque curves and no mods on either. I'm waiting for the shop to e-mail me my graphs so I'll post those later.

I am not a vette owner, but those numbers seem low. Even though it is an A4.

I agree, they do seem a tad bit low. Most of the A4 Vette's I've seen dyno right at 300rwhp.

In all honesty, Allspeed has always been known to dyno low.. and this only proves it.

One guys vette dyno'ed at a reputable shop in Atlanta.. did 316 with exhaust on a vette.. then went to allspeed the next week for ***** n giggles and hit 301.

I did 316 there with lid and exhaust.. and then 333 with headers in my m6.. which is about average maybe a bit low.

Is it a mustang dyno or something? I'm from Texas, and have never heard of allspeed. If their shop numbers are constantly a little low, then I think the numbers he posted are right on par.

Well if that's the case, I'll take an underrated run vs. an overrated run any day. Next month I'll be taking the Marauder to a Ford dyno day at another location so we'll see if Allspeed is runnin' on the low side. I do have to say though, my Allspeed generated Marauder numbers are some of the highest I've ever seen stock.

I'll take the Vette somewhere else at some point and see what I get. Either way I'm happy because assuming approximately a 20 percent driveline loss for an auto, I'm getting the advertised 350 hp Chevy claims.

Anyone else got a stock '04 Vette dyno'ed?

280-285 stock is PERFECTLY normal for an A4 vette.

I agree.... vets will dyno lower than a typical f-body because of the i.r.s.
(independent rear suspension.)
