Default Killed a bunch of imports

I went out to a few local spots, where threre was like a million imports and 3-4 domestics not including me. I arive just in time to see a 98-02 Z-28 drop top smoke a 2000-2002? Stang with SVT badges in the back. Initially me and the guy in the Z were suppose to run but everyone takes off to a diff spot because of the man. So I end up running a WRX, an all wheel drive Eagle Talon, and a normally aspirated Eclipse. Ran the WRX first. Off the line wheels were spinnin until 2nd (A4 by the way). But he didnt jump off the line like expected him to because of the AWD. I was even with him with me spinnin the tires up into 45-50mph in 1st but once I hit 2nd I left him way behind. Afterward he gave me a lame excuse saying he was low on gas and thats why he didnt push the car to its limits. So one of his buds that knew me gave him 5$ to go get gas and run me again. He left and never showed up. Raced the Eagle and killed him by a few bus-lengths. And the Eclipse was nothin spectaclur except by how much he lost by. It was a fun night but I really wanted to run the Z. He was a stock A4 droptop, so I might have had a chance of gettin him, since my car isnt stock. He didnt seem to know to much about the f-body though. He looked at my Trans Am and asked "what year" and I told him "93" and he said "what kind of engine?" I said "LT-1". He looked at me confused and asked "V-6 or V-8". I said "Dude its a freakinTrans Am". I told him "Its an 8". But he kept on staring at my car like it was Z-06 and I was gonna embarass him or something. I put a set of 2002 Trans Am wheels on it and a black flame pattern on the hood, but still he's got an LS-1 in there. But anyways what do yall guys think, me or the Z vert? Hes stock I have a few bolt-ons.

If he doesn't know anything about your car, I'll bet he knows little about his either, let alone how to drive it. You win. (I better check my spelling before the grammar teacher yells at me)

Thanks. Does anyone know from personal experience what the stock LS1 Z convertables run in the 1/4, or maybe even a link. They weigh about what 2-300 pounds more than a hardtop right? Just wonderin, but I guess Im gonna have to catch up with him this weekend to see if I can knock off an LS1 even if it is the slowest/heaviest model.

Is he auto or manual... Stock vs. stock, the auto's are slower... plus the weight doesnt help. With an average to good driver I would say mid 13's, but it sounds like this guy would pull off a low 14 or something... which you should be able to run stock... What bolt-ons do you have so far? Oh and Nice Kill on the imports, and on Southie's grammar!

He's an auto, but so am I. I have headers/ Y-pipe w/hollowed out cat. Adding a Moroso CAI sometime this weekend but thats it for now. I watched him take a 2000-2002 GT(im not sure what year but the latest body style) but Ive taken them in stock form too. IMO I think it would be kinda even but you never know.
