Default Where can I get just an I-pipe?

I am pondering up a new exhaust system and need to find an i-pipe to buy so I can save some dinero on the install/fabrication end. It needs to go from the y-pipe, over the axle, and to the muffler. Anyone know where I can find such a piece? Thanks a lot!

Since you are on a posting binge right now, I'll get this in. I looked around, didnt see anything. I have the stock one, but it's bent up, cut-up, and has a cutout welded into it. I am considering asking someone like GMMG if they can just sell an I-pipe. Any thoughts on this?

it cant hurt. you might also contact SDPC and see if there is anyway to seperate the I-pipe from the muffler. im pretty sure the part # is the I-pipe and muffler as one piece.

you could also check out ebay and look for a stock or cheap catback since the I-pipe is usually included or see if one just is selling the I-pipe.

Reasonably priced?

I guess I will just get the "over the axle" piece since that would cost the most to do custom. Thanks for the sweet find man! Consider this thread closed

Summit or Jegs

Summit Dynomax part numbers :
WLK-53061
WLK-54064

Cost you about $100 with shipping. Summit Racing usually keeps these in stock, Jegs will special order them. For Jegs replace the WLK with 500.

Nice find... whats the difference between the two part numbers? They are the same description, different price.

Thanks

[EDIT]: Nevermind, I figured it out, thanks!

For everybody else, you need both part numbers. One is the pipe upto the axle, the other is the pipe that goes over the axle into the muffler.

What are you planning on doing? I bought the same pipes from summit and used a 3" ultraflo muffler. Quiet at low rpms and louder as it revs up. It still has some rasp though.

Those are the exact pieces I used on my own car. The work/fit well, and the price was right.

I made another thread about it... I plan(hope) to have LT's, dual cutouts, cats, y-pipe, I-pipe, 80 series Flowmaster. I have the stock piece, but it isnt very straight and has a cutout welded into it, not to mention it's cut in half.

Oh, and did you weld the two pipes together, or just use a clamp?

I had it welded. Im sure it could be clamped together like the other catbacks.

Yeah, I saw your other thread after I replied. I would think twice about having cutouts b4 the cats. Someone else did that and had problems with the cutouts leaking.

Are you thinkin about runnin cats for sound or emmisions? If its for sound Id run a pair of 3" bullets with a 4" cutout in the ipipe.
