I guess I’m going to go with the YT 1.7’s with a custom grind comp XE-R cam and Comp push rods. Are these rockers still holding up and fitting well?

Thanks!

Jeremy

Anyone? Also, does anyone sell them for less than 499.99?

I've had them on my car for over a year now without a problem. Great rocker arm. That price is about right for them.

That's what I paid for mine on a group purchase.. call Terry @ Racetech speed and see how cheap he can sell you some for 256-442-1882, I think he can beat that.

I picked up a set from LS1 Power Plant on this board....they're sittin on my dresser waitin to get installed. From the looks of it, very sturdy, good quality peices. Can't wait to get them on my heads.

Mine have been on since I installed my TR224 last October. I reused them when I got my Stage II heads and they have worked fine. Very nice quality part.

I broke a Yella Terra. I think I may be one of two people who have broken one. The shaft twisted in half inside the rocker. I will probably go with Harland Sharp rockers when I get new ones. Other than that, the Yella Terras are great rockers.

What exactly do these do? Do they actually add power, or just reduce friction and wear?

Just make sure you're running plenty of spring pressure to control them. From what I've seen, light singles and YTs have some stability issues.

well um reduction of friction can add power itself. these rockers mainly reduce friction and wear tho. don't buy them if you're looking for a power mod, buy them to compliment your valvetrain(in an attempt to make it stronger). also flex at higher rpm's can cost you power, and any shaft mounted rocker will avoid flex.

quickWS6, wtf did you do that broke a YT?

Definately do not buy as a performance mod. The added benefits of the YT's are...added valvetrain reliability, reduced friction, peace of mind that these will not let loose their needle bearings like some stock ones have done. Sometime ago someone dynoed back to back and gained like 4rwhp with the YT's over the stockers but that could be to dyno variation also as it's not much.

I can think of one reason not to order them, they aren't as sexy as these:
