my friend has a 1999 grand am gt, is it possible to put a cut-out on it, or is it a bad idea for a V6?

what cut-out should he get? will just any that fit his size exhaust work? i think its either 2 1/4 or 2.5" but i might be wrong

thats why i asked if it would be a bad idea to put a cut-out on his car, but what kind of gains would you think he would get from it if any at all?

It should help alot, I know myself and other GN guys love our cut-outs! The turbo back pressure factor is the main reason we open them up, I love the sound, the v6 does sound kinda odd but the spooling of the turbo makes it sound much more agressive. It will be much louder but if its a GTP it should help with slight HP gains.
