Default Just installed a new Strange 12 bolt, need to know how to break it in?

Well I received no instructions whatsoever, so I need to know how to break in the rear end properly. Its a brand new Strange 12 bolt w/a 4.10 and a super strength posi.

Also, whats the best type of oil to run? Weight? Brand? Does it need posi additive?

Thanks.

3 heat cycles--local driving on city streets with up shifting and down shifting. Just long enough to get the rearend fluid hot. Short drive, let them cool for a couple hours, REPEAT 3 times. Some people just put the car up on jacks, run the rearend forward for a few minutes, then backwards for a few minutes, and then just go like hell thereafter. Personally, I would take my time and do it the old fashioned way....heat cycles.

I would recommend Royal Purple 80/90 weight. Check the sponsor list for thier website. Good stuff!

Strange says to leave the fluid that it comes with for 1,000 miles - then replace with NON synthetic and additive. And do some heat cycles of course...

Someone from Strange told me to drive 50 miles without any hard acceleration, let it cool for a half hour and repeat 5 times for a total of 250 miles. Then to change the fluid after a 1000 miles and add a the GM posi additive. Does this sound right? Sounds like a lot of driving for break in.
