Default YET another tc install question help please

Ok i filled my verter with 1.5 quarts of fluid. i went and put it on the transmission and turned it clockwise as i gently pressed on it, it seated what seemd to be all the way and the verter spun freely but it scrapes up against the transmission... Is that normal? when i bolt the flex plate up will it pull it out to the flaxplate and be how it should be?

thanks

I say bolt it to the flywheel and see if it still scrapes you are only three bolts from that point

It is unusual to see a converter rub the transmission. Where does it touch at? Sometimes you'll have one that will lightly touch the transmission pump. As long as it doesn't touch when you bolt the converter to the flexplate, you should be fine. What kind of transmission and converter do you have?
