Question Open element airfiler or box?

does anyone have any information on this? which is better? an open element airfilter or a box like stock? both being aftermarket applications....

does one get more airflow than the other?

thanks

The stock lid sucks, but the paper filters themselves
are negligible pressure drop. Properly ducted the box
provides you cold air while an open element is, well,
open to whatever. A lot of fairly hot whatever close
by.
