Default MTI Stage II Heads?

I have a chance to buy a set of MTI Stage II heads for a very reasonable price, form a guy that I trust. I really want to get them, but I have a couple of questions about them & my setup. I emailed MTI but they have not responded.

I have an LSX intake & Jantzer proted TB, which should be great with them. But I also have 1.8 rockers & a GM Hot Cam. Now that combo only ends up with .555 lift and ~ 220 / 230 duration on a 112 LSA. So I'm thinking I won't have any PTV clearance issues. Correct? Recall Stg II heads are milled .030, and a friend has had problems with them & a .600 lift cam with 1.7 rockers.

Anybody have experience / opinions you'd like to share?

Thanks!
Mark

PM poolfanatic
He works for MTI.

Do you know which Stage 2 heads they are?

I have the Stage 2E's. I love them. Awesome power without issue.

I have the MTI stage 2 heads milled .030 on my car. My cam is a 228/236 112 LSA 108 ICL. Lift is .588/.602 and I do not have any P to V issues.

Wahusker, if the heads are cut only .030 you will not have a PTV problem with the cam you mentioned above. Make sure that you shim the rockers correctly and you will have a problem free head install. If you have any further question please feel free to contact me directly. Thanks again Lloyd
