Default Setting up timing chain question

I recently did my H/C swap. After completing everything I started the car up and it ran for about 1 minute then died out. I checked for compression in all the cylinders and a couple didn't have any and the rest were around 100-120 lbs. When I set the timing chain up the dots both lined up perfectly. Is it possible to have both the dots lined up and the timing be off? The thing that confused me is that the car ran for about 1 minute then died. Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Do you have adjustable rocker arms? If so your lifters probably just pumped up and are now holding your valves open, I had the same thing happen.

You need to loosen up all your rocker arms and redo them and it should be fixed.

If you are using a multi-keyway adjustable timing gear, you may have mis-oriented the "straight-up" slot. The dot-to-dot should only be used when using the straight-up keyway. If you select any other keyway to advance or retard the cam, you must figure out which new crank gear cam-tooth corresponds to the dot on the cam gear.

Back off your #1 rocker arms a little (The stud) and do a compression test, odds are you will have compression, then torque them back down (22lb/ft) and test it again.

Don't actually fire the car over with rockers loose though
