Non-LS1 app: -quietest- small-diameter muffler?
Installing a generator in the garage of a condo unit,
populated by the usual condo *****. I am going to
plumb the exhaust out an existing wall vent. I need
a muffler, or a couple in series, to get the thing quiet
enough to avoid grief. This will be a V-twin, 18kW /
30HP and I plan to use 2" iron pipe to run the exhaust
out.
Wondering if we have any "old school muscle / beater"
folks around here who have run across a very quiet,
as opposed to high performance / race, tubular muffler
in the "pea-shooter exhaust" class.
If none come to mind I could go with a bigger one but
am looking to keep things unobtrusive as possible.

Old school huh...are glasspacks are out of the question
Try one of those cheap turbo mufflers from PepBoys. I think those Thrush mufflers were pretty quiet even on a V8.
