Thumbs up Finally in the 11's

After much trial and tribulation with this car, I ran a new best today.

11.82 at 113.20 mph

60-ft was 1.57 on M/T ET drag radials, QA1's and TCI 3800.

This was on stock tranny and rear end (eat your heart out ONGRNGO )with 60K miles. Car now has 130 plus track runs. I drive to and from the track which was 420 miles roundtrip on front skinnies and DR's. Ride was smooth and comfortable compared to my 18" C5's with Michelin Pilots.

Car dead hooked on a well-prepped track. Weather was mid 70's with about 60% humidity. I can probably squeeze a 11.7 in cooler weather. Needless to say, I'm happy.

Mods are (along with mods listed above):

S2 heads
232/232 .595/.595 Comp Cam
78mm LSX
Ported TB
ASP pulley
MAC headers
Hooker Cat-Back
lid
FTRA w/SSRA lower attachment

Here's a scan of the timeslip (left lane of course).

Come on Gino tell us the truth, you had the 17.68 @91.81 J/K that is a sweet 60ft you got 1.57, that must have felt awsome!!

LOL. I was going to cover up the right lane, but it probably would look odd. My heart skipped a beat on the launch (kind of a like that first second when going down a roller coaster). It was a total rush and the best part of the run IMO.

Thats sweet!!! How many runs in the 11s did you make? When I ran 11.95 I went right around and ran again to make shure it wasent a candy wrapper run. 11.999 HOT!!! Nice run!!! Good luck on the 10s cuz I know you are thinking about them, Tom

I got two runs in that day. There was over 300 racers at the track and the Test n Tune group only ran a few times throughout the day, so I couldn't hot lap.
First run was a 12.008 with a 1.70 60-ft, then I ran the 11 second. It's legit, but I will try go to back in cooler weather for a better run.

BLAKTA is your car tuned, that time seems alittle slow for your mods, what is the elevation you run at , I used to run 11.80s 113 in high 80s temp at 500ft above track with just bolt ons with a small 216/220 525 532 compcam with stock heads . I ran the same converter TCI 3800 (awesome converter) with 342 gears , full weight 99 ta with centerline wheels with 26by 10.5 mt streets. Could cut high1.5s in the 60ft.

Don't get me started on my underachieving setup (F-ing PP heads).
It's a miracle I even got into the 11's. It should be good for 11.6's.

Elevation is approx 900 ft. weather was mid 70's with about 60% humidity. My friend with a similar setup to yours was running 12.1's 12.2's all day. Hopefully cooler weather will bring lower ET's which is really irrelevant because this will be the last run with this setup.

Man im sorry about that , personally i would put on the stock heads with a small cam 220/220 and an ls6 intake and sell that lsx intake and pp stage 2 heads , you would probable be faster , no joke . I dont even want to tell you what my car ran on a 90shot of nitrous with a 1200 DA that day ..... either way an 11sec pass is an 11sec pass... congrats

The LSX is fine, it's the heads. I decided months ago if I walked away with a 11 sec time slip I would call it a season.
