Question Headers, Coatings and O2 Codes

I'm curious whether any of the header coating options
help hold in heat enough, to eliminate the O2 sensor
thermal problems (heater codes, short functional life,
whacked idle mixture / LTFTs, etc.).

So here is a poll relating header type to O2 sensor
"issues"... let's see what falls out.

If you have been through multiple header systems,
any relative observations would be interesting.

I have coated flowtech headers and coated y-pipe. I think they're just coated on the outside but I can't remember. I think I got every O2 sensor code possible. I got new O2's just to have them die 50 or so miles later. My car then developed a horrible part throttle hesitation that made the car barely drivable. So I kicked my car into open loop mode and richened everything up as a safety precaution since I don't have wideband.....yet. Man it's nice having an almost smooth idle again, and no stinkin hesitation.

What O2's did you use on your car? Did you use the pre cat or the post cat o2's? I'm wondering if It's possible on the F bod's that the post O2's have better heaters.

DynaTech's on Truck. Uncoated. I threw code 157 on b2 rear after about a week after install. I moved 02's around and it followed the 02 so I think I contaminated/damaged it during the header install. Have new Bosch units for Vette in the rear slots now. No codes. My LTFT's are whacked. Header or tune related I don't know. Idle is fine but idle mixture is also whacked. Gross adjustment of VE tables will start bringing LTFT's and idle in line. Contemplating wrapping the headers a best I can while installed to see if affects things at all.

Do you suggest getting new o2's or reusing the stockers?
