There is one piece that keeps the wires from falling down, and another goes above that, right under the steering wheel, where the rear hatch button is.

Sorry. That's not the stupidest question ever. Please try again...

On the driver's side, I'd say no to your question because just past the OBDII connecter it's all open spaces (at least on my 2000). The passenger side is sort of covered...

Its sounds like people are talking about 2 different places. Perhaps pics can clear this up. I dont have any now and wont be able to get any until tonight the earliest, but maybe someone else can chime in.

To get a better idea of where...
* shin cover?
* area by left knee ?
* area by right knee?

Not the part under the steering whell with the button but under the dash to "hind" the wires as well as on the passenger side! I removed my dash long ago and removed the HVAC stuff and was hoping there is a plastic panel to go from the edge of the carpet by the firewall up to the bottom of the glovebox! And I could swear there was a panel on the drive side behind the OB2 plug that coverd the wires! Thanks Guys

Sorry I didn't intend to steal your thunder....

Heck, might as well ask it.....Comparing your car to mine, do you have any pieces under there that I don't?

That's OK. Now I don't have to go do it.
