GoodYear F1 tragedy
It all started while I was driving down I10 West in San Antonio thruogh the several construction zones. i slow down as always and pay attention to whats ahead of me. out of nowhere i hear a vibration coming from the rear, i start to slow down then BAM metal to concrete. pulled over and put the spair on, found a metal shard in my goodyear F1. my rim it self appears to be ok. so i decided to turn this situation into a positive one. i placed an order for a pair of Nitto 555R DRs. now i hope i can catch traction of the line with my 3.73 gears. i wanted to get ride of the F1s soon but not this way. i will be forced to cruise on my spair for a few more days . just a warning for those who live in san antonio, be careful about the construction going around exit 567.

the construction zones suck here, i drive to st marys from the northeast side everyday and it is really bad, highway potholes and uneven surfaces everywhere. im only about 2" of the ground and scrape everywhere even when im paying attention. i just had to order some new tires too, it looked like the tread was about to peel off, so i ordered some, the widest i could find for my rim, they were 285's its gonna look mean. anyways, im new and just got a 94 t/a with the ram air kit. can you help me out on what i can do to beef me up. i dont really know anything so treat me as if i had never heard of an engine before.

jase94, yup the roads pretty much suck here. i have to drive that way 5 days a week for school, SAC, and i have eibach pro-kit springs. my girl always says if you get so pissed all the time about scraping just get your car back to stock height. i cant do that. i love the springs to much. as far as mods, i have simple bolt ons- mti inductoin+cuppler+k&n, eibach pro-kit, ripper shifter, 3.73 gears, borla catback, bmr STB, 160 therm, and runnin on a spair . my nitto DRs should be here in a few days. hotchkis SFC are getting welded on soon. i go back to houston to get all my mods at MTI. i moved out here from sugar land, tx 2 months ago for school. do you have an a4 or m6? do you think you want to go simple bolt-on, head and cam, or forced induction? im looking into a tnt 100 wet shot.

Lmao @ 6 inch deep pot holes being bad, you my friend need to come to michigan.
Here the pot holes arent bad (the whole road is a pot hole) you just have to watch out for when its not pot hole , 6 inchs taller then then what your driving on.

ta12sec, jase94, H/C can get exspinsive. if i were you first i would start with a stall, shift kit(transgo), maybe 3.42 gears, exhaust- long tubes, y pipe, catback. do those mods first and the h/c will produce alot more power.

I was turning into a parking lot one night and couldn't see the curb because it was on a decline. I popped both driver's side F1's. Luckily I use AAA and had them tow me to a NTB that was right next door...

02WS6Bird- i have the F1-GS
WS-SICK- that really sucks man. both driver side tires, but thats why we got AAA. your lucky that a NTB was next door. sorry to hear about that. although driving around with a 16" spare is quite funny.
