Default m/t drag radials after 1k and 8 passes

i took these pics today of my m/t drag radials on a 15 inch rim. they are 275/50/15 and so far they are in excellent shape. they dont peel like the bf goodrich dr do. they are still intact.

nittos or bd goodrich dont come close to these. nittos are better in rain though and so are the bf goodrich, but in dry weather i have no doubt that these hook better. there is no other drag radial better than these imo.

Good to hear that MT Drag radials are working on M6 cars to. What 60's are you able to get and at what pressure?

Does anyone have any personal experience with the M/Ts drag radials on the street. How do they last in comparison to a nitto?

Default dr

I am also planning on getting some track rims and some DR's, so any specs you have on your rims would be great. Also, do you have a stock rear, cause launching from 3500-4500 in our cars and sticking is bad thing I thought, I really don't want to launch mine any higher than 2500-3000, unless it is safe for the rear. I have goodyear eagle F1 GS-D3's now 315/35/17 and launch them from about 2000-2200 on 22psi and pull 2.0 60's but it's somtimes they hook and sometimes not, they like to jump out when I hit 3rd too sometimes.

i do have a stock rear and yes launching at those rpms is dangerous but these tires wont let u launch at 2k like you do. they just wont do u any good and you will have 2.0 60ft with them if u do launch that low. i tried that and my best 60 ft is 1.96 with a 3500 rpm launch with no tire spin. they are more to launch at 4500rpm or above. i just dont have the ***** to do it right now. lol

I have put about 700 miles on the street with mine. So far so good, but I would not expect these to last long on a daily driver on the street. The compound is much softer than Nitto's, but hook much better. Definitely more of a strip tire.

i have about 1200 miles on them so far and nothing wrong with them. they are extremely good and for those of you wondering if they last or not it is hard to tell right now, but i can tell u that i do definetely see them lasting more than bf goodrich's. they are not as soft as bf drag radials and they dont "peel" the same way as bf goodrich's do under street use. i will say though that they are worse than bf drag radials under the rain. i pulled a 180 degree turn just at under 40mph under rain. not good if you ask me specially where there are poddles of water. avoid stagnant water at all costs and you should be fine. i think nittos are still the best overall tires, but they will never perform as good as these under dry conditions. my 60 ft with the bf dr was a best of 1.84 launching at 4k and spinning. with these i have only had a best of 1.98 launching at 3500rpm dead hooking but bogging. i need to have the ***** to launch at 4500 rpm and i am sure i would cut a 1.7.

i forgot to mention that they dead hooked with me without any burnout. they need little to no burnout which is a plus because that should make them last a little longer.

I like the fact they hook while cold. Too bad theyre dangerous in the rain. Sounds like a great weekend street racing tire.
