Default Want to get rid of my cats

Well guys, time to remove my cats, they're jacked up and the material inside is coming apart now... I can hear it, so... What do I need to remove the cats, maybe even replace with some high flows or gutted, not sure. I've heard of many problems with going with o2 sims due to some heated error. I'm new to the "smog" era (notice my nick) and am unfamiliar with these systems. Any advise is much obliged!

i m running O2 simms with no problems, have been since about feb. also, you might be able to get those stock cats replaced under warranty if you wanna do that, believe GM has to cover em for emmissions reasons
personally i ditched the cats when i installed headers and had my 3in. true duals fabbed up

What about smog though, that's the only thing I'm real concerned with. If I can get a dummy to smog my car and pass it visually even though it's got LT's with gutted cats, and program the comp to pass a sniffer. Biggest cam I'd be looking at is a TR224 as this is my daily driver. I'm just feelin people out, seeing what everyone thinks. LT's with ORY and sims, and another config with cats and a y pipe for smog. Not sure...

Im not worried about it at all. I bought mine with the cats off. I would put cats on there but 'smog' went out the window once i threw the trex in.

GM has an 8yr/80,000 mile warranty on their cats. I had one going bad and decided to just remove them.
