Default True Duals or not True Duals?

Ok guys tell me what you think. Right now I have Hooker Lt's, off road y-pipe, and SLP loudmouth exhaust. I went to a local muffler shop today who said the would make me an x-pipe with dual dumps before the axle. So should I stay with what I have or should I put the true duals. The only problem the guy said was gonna be the rear hanger on the driver side, he is going to have to figure out a way to mount it because there is nothing there.
Thanks in advance to you suggestions.

Thanks
Chris

Exhaust sounds are purely a personal thing. Kinda like a guy's taste in women. Some like em raw and deep! Some like em deep and throaty.
Me I would never have a dumped exhaust. Too much interior noise and too loud. But that's me and you may like something totally different. Your best bet is to go to the strip where you can hear and maybe ride in different setups and then decide on what you like. Without doing that your taking a chance on buying something you may not really like. HTH

Wherever he does hang it make sure he tacks the hangar or bolts in place or they will come loose after a while and start to rattle. I love my true dual and the sound will be way better

I have a cammed car with true duals using Dynomax bullets. I daily drove it before the cam with the duals, and did not find it to be too loud. The only downside after the came is some fumes in the car at traffic. I still love it. The volume would not bother me daily, but the fumes would. I like them loud though.

Check out LS1sounds.com. Tons of clips of different exhausts. Not the same as in person but you can tell the difference if you listen to a few. That's what I did and I am going TSPX.

Jason, do you have any pics of the system installed? I have a spohn torque arm, and I know they won't work as they are, but I wanted to see what kind of fabrication would be needed to make them work. Thanks.

P.S. Sorry for the Hijack.

If i were you, or anyone for that matter I would have the shop extend the pipes out the back and weld some nice exhaust tips on there (either your existing ones or some nice new aftermarket ones-personally I prefer the Fast Toys stainless Dual duals -only $80 for stainless dual duals, can't beat that!)

Here's why:

1.) interior won't be rattling and irritatingly noisy. Sure it may be cool at times but it gets old quick believe me, especially if you enjoy listening to the radio at all.

2.) no fumes coming into the car. This is not just a comfort issue but over time a serious health risk especially for those who sit in a lot of traffic

3.) IMO, tips coming out the back looks so much better than none, especially for ourt american muscle cars. For WS6's like mine its almost mandatory looks wise b/c of the notches in the back bumper specifically there for exhaust tips.

This is work that a local shop did where they extended the pipes back and used tips. Price was about $550 for everything installed from the headers back and look how nice the clearance is!
