Head bolt torques for a 2003-up ls6 block and ls2
Ok ALL:
I have posted about this a week ago and need help. The 2003 ls6 blocks and the new ls2 blocks use the medium size head bolts instead on the 8 large and 2 medium M11 bolts. I talked to a person on the GM tech line and he argued with me and said the head bolts torqueing is the same as the ls1. I already torqued them down to 22ftlbs. and then turned them 90*. The ls1 medium head bolts are then torqued another 50* and the large ones 90*. The ls6 head bolts are the medium length....so do I torque them to 50* or 90* for the final pass. I've been having problems with getting this ? answered for the 3 weeks.......
This is what I'm trying to put this engine in to...www.sammichael.com/ls1/turbotacoma........(current project). I did this project on here 3 plus years ago...www.v8sonoma.com
Thanks all!!!
