MTI C2 Cam On 115 LSA: A Few Questions
This cam was originally intended for a FI application, but the previous owner changed direction, and sold the cam to me. I'll be using it with stage II LS6 heads, NA.
Is there a downside to the 115 LSA? I wanted a cam with a smooth idle, so I probably would not have gotten a cam on a 112 LSA anyway.
If I understand correctly, cams with a bigger LSA will make their power higher in the RPM range. Would installing this 2 degrees advanced cause it to make peak power at lower RPM's? I really don't want to spin it above 6200 rpm's on the stock '99 LS1 rod bolts.
Any downsides to installing it 2 degrees advanced?
Thanks for any replies. I'm still trying to understand all this.

It's possible to have some advance in it already, just install it straight up. That cam had some discussion a few days ago, might want to run a search. As far as idle and drive ability. It will probably idle like stock (with benefits) and have good street/all out manners as well.
