Exhaust flow for big HP?
Yes, I've searched, and I remember there being a post on cfm of exhausts, but I can't find it.
I'd like to go with a true dual setup, but I need ground clearance and with a T/A's rear fascia, a normal exhaust looks better. Next year I plan to go with a 400cid+ engine that puts down something close to 550rwhp. At these levels, what exhaust would actually flow enough? I know I can run cut-out's, but I'd like to make as much power through a full exhaust before going to a cutout. So, I'm just curious if I'm leaving much on the table with an exhaust like Corsa or Magnaflow? What about the 4" Mufflex exhausts with the Spintech mufflers? I plan to run QTP 1-7/8" Headers with the QTP Y-Pipe. Would that be better?
Any thoughts?
