What does anyone think of Pacesetter Longtubes?...I know they are about the same price as flowtech and flowtech is made by hooker. Im looking for bang for $$$. I also have the SLP loudmouth

Pacesetters are great for what you pay for them. There quality and fit is a lot better than the Flowtechs.

I recommend Pacesetters because I've had them, and didn't have any real complaints about them.

May I recommend doing a search of the external engine section, and reading all of the posts about Pacesetters. They're a good quality header, but their y-pipe is crap. Look into either the TSP ORY or Catted-y to compliment the Pacesetters if you purchase them.

It is unreal how easy my Pace Setters went on! I could not believe it. I am very happy with the quality of them. Collector looked good, nice welds, thick flange. I think they are worth more than what they sell for.

I love my Pacesetter long tubes. They went in easily and havent had any problems. I had a custom y-pipe made though, I didnt use the Pacesetter or TSP one.

I got a question for ya'll, How long have you had them on? I don't really want to fight the rust, so if they rust in the next 5 years, I probably won't go with them. Whats your experience with them rusting, coating flaking, etc.

TTuRaider- The Pacesetters are a great header for the money. I am running them and have been very pleased. It's going to be hard to beat the quality you get for the price on the Pacesetter's. We've installed plenty of the Pacesetters and have not had any complaints so far! They seem to go on smoothly and perform well. Let us know if you have any questions!

The y-pipe comes in 4 pieces for adjustability. If it doesn't fit right the first time, you may have to go back and readjust. It may take a couple of times to get it right, but it's worth it to get the y-pipe to fit right. If you have any questions or concerns, please give us a call at 806-866-0734.

I got it adjusted right, but I had to use plyers and lots of elbow grease to get the 4 pieces to fit together and to get them to fit up to the headers. Seemed like they weren't expanded enough. Some of the ends were shaped almost like an egg.

All was well though, no clearance or banging issues and I am satisfied. I just got the one you guys created on friday, you know which one I am talking about

I recommend the TSP ORY with Pacesetter headers.

for the money, pacesetter are great. A buddy of mine has them and they fit good and made some desent power. You can actually feel power on the throttle than wat you actualy made.

However, i know you want to save cash or watever, but i would just save a bit more and get a set of stainless. they transfer less heat and never rust.....also, companies like QTP, kooks and PPC use a tube design that fits really good. well, my dos centavos!!!

my vote is pacesetter-w/true duals...but you already have a loudmouth...get the tsp catted y...it will sound like crap with an ory and loudmouth

hey brian ... thanks for the info. I live in Lubbock and i should be ordering the headers (im thinkin the coated), ORY and O2 sims from you guys sometime today and having it shipped to fort worth. Btw whats the difference between the hooker and pacesetter ORY?

I'd also go with the Pacesetter/TSP ORY. in fact, I just did! I have both here at my shop and will be installing this weekend, along with a spec stgIII. The headers look great! I have no experience with the Flowtech headers, but, I do have a flowtech cutout, and the welds were junk- had a hole where there was no weld Will have someone weld it up after I get this other stuff put on.
