Default Bad ground? Altenator?

I noticed on my car that that ALL the lights flicker all the time, but they are more noticable at lower RPMS... at idle.

I was told it could be:

1) Altenator

2) a ground (but what ground)

It didn't start till I had my heads swapped back about 1-2 years ago.. and its done it ever since.

Thanks for any ideas.

Probably a ground.

Hmm...you know what, could it be that a fuse is simply not in correct. IDK which ground it would be though, sorry

Hopefully someone else has the map.

There are grounds on the back of both heads. Hard to get to or see unfortunately, but that's where I'd start.

There are also grounds on both sides of the engine compartment on the frame, and one on the block close to the alternator.

Have you checked your alternator ? Does your voltage gauge jump when the lights flicker ?

Good luck,

Low battery can do that too.

I had the charging system checked at my shop, and the tech is 100% sure its my alternator. He advised me that the smaller alternators are notorious for going out early. The lights flicker according to my rpms, and my voltage gauge jumps around when my lights flicker real bad.. at lower RPMS.

Atleast I finally know what it is.

Thanks for the replys!!
