Solid motor mount plate, shaving water pump
Is it ok to shave the water pump when using a solid motor mount plate?
I would have to take off .0260IN to make it line up with the crank pully

I personally wouldn't go .26" in unless you were cutting even deeper and reinforcing the thin wall (or hole) with weld. It may be possible w/o reinforcement, but I wouldn't take the chance. Being a pressurized system, you would run the chance of bursting there. That's if .26 wouldn't go right through, which it just may...I'd suggest clearancing the mount.
