Question What headers to buy

Im trying to decide on what kind of headers to buy. Im trying to decide on weather to but kook, hooker, or Jet Hot. The thing is I realy do not want to spend the grand for the jet hots. So can anyone please tell me what they have heard about these three. I also dont care which one to but as long as they dont flake or change color.

Thanx
Ronnie

everyone on this board will tell you to get kooks or qtp, but they're expensive. jet hot headers i think run about $550. i've heard both good and bad stuff about them. i'm personally gonna go with the slp's..even tho they hand low. not my DD. Good Luck

Are you talking about the whole system headers+y pipe? If not I thought Jet Hot headers were like $550-600.

How much can you get a set of qtp headers for? Which has better flow? Im also looking to spend around a grand at most.

They're having a sale right now so you're in luck:

You should be able to get a full header/ORY set up for right around (or maybe even just under) $1k. GREAT headers/Y pipes.

QTP's, I just ordered mine today. Total was $880. Thats 1 3/4 with AIR/EGR, and a bunch of extras, gaskets, stage 8 bolts, O2 extensions. They are having a special right now. Check out the GP specials section. I went with them because I wanted stainless, LT's, and good fitment. Just my .02.

Kooks are bad *** if you can afford them. I run jet hots on my car, they make a good set of headers

try a seach, you will prob get 200 pages to come up on this topic. it also depends on what you are trying to do with your car. i have pacesetters on mine and besides having to notch the kmember a little they fit and look great. i keep hearing hooker having problems with the air and egr tubes comming off. i got poly motor mounts and my ypipe never bangs. only thing im kind mad about it texas speed sent me ones wiht emission **** on them and i wanted the ones that didnt have it. but i was too damn impatient to wait on new ones lol
