Default Fast LSX runner length

Has anyone tried shortening the runners in the 90mm FAST intake?

I know someone that has done it in a LS6 intake.

I dont know if Id shorten it anymore, unless you need to set something up with a 7500-8200 rpm shift point.

We Shorten the runners on a LS1 intake during our intial testing. At first we we just blown away saw 20hp over the stock ls1 intake. But hang on. Then put the same intake on a performance engine and went down 19hp. The intake that made more hp would only do it on a BONE stock engine. ALl other testing shown the intake was crap even. We took and made pleniums smaller, larger, moved the inlet around, dropped the floor. If I remember correctly we cut up over 10 LS6 and LS1 intakes.

I'd be interested in shortening the runners up the 5" so they are the same length as the stock ones. Wouldn't that also increase plenum size?

More volume and longer runners. More torque and hp at the same time. That wilson guy most know something.
