Default Maf or MafLess- is 'VE' [ airmass table ] used during a 1/4 mile run ??

Your in 'PE' mode 100% during a 1/4 mile run.
Just 'talking' AIRMASS here, fuel/spark being 'perfect'...

In a 'perfect' world with 'PE' set to 1.13 your 'commanded' AFR
is 13.0.
How does 'PE' make this 13.0 AFR happen during the 1/4 mile run ??

With a MAF, is it an airmass 'mix' of MAF/VE until 4K when the MAF is
100% of the airmass mix ??

Without a MAF, is it a 100% airmass of just the VE table the
whole 1/4 mile run ??
