Default Can I use Barb fittings on fuel system

Is it safe to use barb fittings on the LS1 fuel system if I do not wish to change over to AN?

Whats the ups/downs of barb?

So its either AN or factory quick connect setup? No other alternatives.

If its gotta be AN then its gotta be AN.

Correct me if I'm wrong here but I work day in/out on Nissan Skylines and they just use EFI rubber hose and normal hose clamps on the whole fuel system and its all factory fitted.
They use a bundy style end on everything.

Would bundy style be ok to use, I just want to get the car up and running and driveable and save some more pennies then put AN fittings throughout and probably change to billet rails and an adjustable reg and dont want to have to make up 2 sets of braided lines when I change.

I have bought Autozone/Advance quick connect fittings that just have a ridge about 1/4" back from the end. Slide the fuel injection hose over the ridge, put on a clamp and go. These fittings routinely saw 80 psi when the car was still a v6 with a blower and fmu....
