Will I have problems with P/V clearance??
Getting ready to start on stage II of my mods and I haven't been able to find a straight answer on this combo.
Basically I'm using my current MMS stage II heads with low compression upgrade (CR stated to be 9.7). Valve sizes are 2.02/1.57. Manley double springs with titanium retainers. These heads are NOT milled. I have .027" Cometic head gaskets that I plan to use to help raise the compression close to stock again. (I decided not to go forced induction).
Okay here is what I was planning on using:
MMS Stage II heads (details above)
TREX v2 cam (242/248 .608/.612 110lsa)
Yella Terra Rockers 1.7
Comp Cams "R" lifters
Cometic Head Gaskets (.027")
7.4" TR hardened Push rods
Will I have problems with piston valve clearnace??? Are there any parts you guys would and would not reccomend for this setup?? Car is not a daily driver, it's used for pleasure drives and 1/4 mile runs.
