Question Need Help with SES code

My SES light came on today on my way home from work The car seems to be operating normaly, but i went ahead and stopped off at Auto Zone to get them to run the code. Heres what they cam up with:

P0420

The PCM has determined that the catalyst system efficientcy for bank 1 is below the threshold for the currect engine operating conditions. (bank 1 identifies the location of cylinder # 1, while bank 2 identifies the cylinders on the opposite bank)

The best I can tell, it sounds like either my cats or an 02 sensor, but im not sure. Has anyone else seen this before? I would appreciate any input you guys have.

I'm not positive but I thought that was a bad catalytic converter. Go to pcm diagnostics area and do a search on that code. That should help a little.
