Default warmup time for patriot gold duals?

How hot should motor get before flooring car? Like a 5 min. warmup ok? And how long should I wait before driving (Not floored)? Can I start car up and be somewhat easy on throttle?

Basically what I'm wondering how much I have to baby these springs.

Guess I would be interested as well, I just got some, I always warm my car up before driving anyway, but interesting to see if people think an "extra" warm up period is in order.

There is NO BREAKIN TIME ON SPRINGS!!!!. Importance is oil temp. Whether the springs are new or have 10K miles on them you should never put an engine to the mat until the oil temp is 180 or better. As far as water temp you need to be around 160 or so. In previous postions I have had a part in developing 2 HP valvetrain companies and in do so have a great friend that is a spring engineer of sorts so my info comes directly from the source.

I always bring my car up to temperature before getting on it. I don't have an oil temp gauge but I figure if the coolant temp is up to operating temperature (170-200) then the oil temp is too.

not really, oil is a lot thicker than coolant, so it takes longer for the oil to get up to temp. not really sure but i would say like 15 minutes of easy running to make sure the oil is up to temp. or just get an oil temp gauge and go by that.

It takes a good 10-15 minutes of easy driving to get my car's coolant temp up to 180 so I guess I am good.

The coolant temp in my car gets to 180 in about 5-7 mins of lite driving, the oil takes longer- 180 takes about 15min... I always wait to see a min 155 before i get on the car and normally like to see 160-165 before this..

It takes about 10-15 minutes AFTER the coolant temp has reached full operating temp before the oil is up to temp.Love these Corvette's for there oil temp gauges

b/c the thermo doesn't really open til 17x or so. and thats just so it will recirculate the coolant when its reached a certain temp....to try and keep temps down. it doesn't ensure it will stay @ 160.....

oil is also going to get a bit hotter anyhow....its RIGHT there w/the combustion process and not cooling via indirect thermal transfer like the coolant.
