Default what tires and rims for 700+ rwhp daily driver T/A?

ive already got 315 nittos with zr1's on em, but i want something i can use if i want to go to the track, or actually want some traction on the street occasionally.

what specs would i need to make it all work correctly? i dont really care too much about looks, since most drag wheels arent the coolest looking.

i have heard a little bit about prostars, draglites, weldlites, and bogarts, but i dont know anything about them.

what would you guys recommend i choose, cause i will also be turning up the boost occasionally, aiming for 850-900 rwhp.

Thanks.

it will also be on stock shocks/springs, 12 bolt with 3:55 gears in m6

If you got the $$$ to make 800rwhp, then you got the money for the best setup

Bogart 15" D-10's with 3.5's up front, and 10.5's in the back. Tires for the rear w/o a doubt would be M/T street radial 325/50/15.....If you can't hook with that, you aren't gonna hook on a ET street!!

Call SJM mfg. I think he's still a sponsor here, and can take good care of you!

Yeah I'm almost certain it wouldn't be a good idea to daily drive with 3.5" skinnies up front..

Well, Plenty of guys do it on a regular basis from this board, and as long as you're not driving like a fool, you will be fine.

if you have enough money for a badass car like that, then invest in a set of rims for the track with some slicks.

Bogarts make some 17X6 RR10s, those look great. Far as being on skinnies, when you get a car making that much power it prolly wont be a daily driver.

that was going to be my suggestion. 17x6 front, 15x10.5 rear with 325 M/T radials

ya, i mean i plan on driving my zr1's right now. but when i want to be able to drive on the street with the nice setup, i dont want any hassle. doesnt have to be able to drive down the street all the time, but just occasionally.

That would be a great setup for an occasionally driven car. The M/T Streets will probably only last a few thousand miles.

Now 2000TransZam changes the conditions? When you say it's a daily driver most people think aboout it being the car that gets you to work, and the grocery, and the mall, etc. Now your taking about it being occasionally driven on the street. If it were a true daily driver I would have recommended something else. With 700 rwhp your not gonna be able to launch on anything DOT legal without heating up the tires anyway.

you will only put the side of your car into either 1) other cars or 2) the curb with that kind of power. any tire on the street is a joke. you can put the best M/T drag radial (and last a few thousand miles at best) and it still will just spin.

go got a "ditch finder now" kid. good luck and be safe.

as for drag wheels only looking "ok" welp, i guess you havent seen allan futral or my bogart pro-stars/aluma-lites.

let me clarify what i will be using it for.

approximately 90% of the time, i will be driving it on the street with my current setup. the other 10% of the time will be used when i want to race either at the track, or more important races on the street, against supras, or other high hp cars. so i dont need something that will last forever, because i only plan on using those specific tires occasionaly. i just want something that will hook, looks decent, and that will not puncture on the street if im driving 20-30 miles that night(prob will do some freeway rolls, so i dont wanna puncture them while im going fast).

im sorry for the misunderstanding, but this is as best as i can explain it.

i dont plan on driving the car every day, just because i hate rackin up a lot of milage, but i want it to be setup to do that if i needed it to, which is what will happen. im estimating it will be close to 700 rwhp, on pump gas. so based off of that, and somewhat managable drivability, i would consider that to be a daily driver.
