Gunna do a motor swap, have some questions...
Going from my 346 to an APE 408. Now I am buying a shortblock with heads and cam from APE, after that I have an intake and all the other odds and ends from my current shortblock, what needs to be transfered over?
This is what I have:
cam gears (retainer plate and crank snout) - front
chain (new ls2 one) - front
front cover - front
lifter cups - top/internal
lifters - top/internal
windage tray - bottom
oil pickup tube - bottom
oil pan - bottom
oil pump - front
valley cover - top
knock sensors - top
temp sensor - driver side head
temp sensor - pass side near starter
pulley's / accessories / brackets - front
Did I miss anything?
thanks
-Steve

Rear of the valley cover there is the oil pressure sensor and the cam sensor, those both have to come out.
The crank sensor is on the passenger side of the block near the back of it. It needs to be transfered over.

Ok, this is getting close. Anything else that I missed? Will i need a new oil pan gasket? Rear cover gasket? What are the tq specs on the pan? what about the windage tray, and pickup tube?

I wouldn't swap the oil pan gasket unless it looks damaged. Put in new front and rear seals just to be on the safe side. Other than that I think everyone has covered it all already. Waterpump gaskets can be reused also unless they appear damaged. Cross over water tube and block off plates for the ls6 or fast intake.
