Default Comp R lifters question.

Can they be just torqued down.....or do they require an adjustable rocker arm...??????

Adjustable rocker arm or shim the non adjustables to get the right preload. Do not just torque and go. I did this when I installed them and left a lot of HP on the table. Cam fell of likea rock at 6000. After I had them set right I gained HP and can turn to over 6800 without significant HP loss.

I am fixing to install these lifters next week with the cam and heads, I am going to run patriot shaft mounted rockers, so excuse my ignorance, what is the proper preload,, and how do I know if i have it correct or not? THis is my first cam swap on an ls1 so I'm learning as I go. THanks

To get the right preload it is about 1/5 - 1/4 turn past zero lash.
