Default filter mount

where are you guys mounting the filters at for the fuel i have an inline pump and the filter was before the pump but my pump was starving for fuel whining real loud and that was the second pump so i took the filter off that was new and the pump is so quite and the fuel pressure stays the same. thanks for any help

Filter should go after the pump, unless it is a prefilter which then can go before the pump, you dont want a filter restricting the pump as it causes it to work harder, over heat and premature failure.

The other option is to run a large enough filter. You don't want your filter starving your engine either. Filtering before the pump if possible is a sure way to keep your high dollar aftermarket pump in tip top shape. I run a #10(1/2") fitting out of my tank into a high volume, #10 on both ends, filter y'd into two hungry pumps with #8(7/16") fittings and line y'd back to a #8 fitting and line up to my fuel rails. This feeds a supercharged 427 with #60 injectors. Goodluck.
