Torque Converter Tuning
HI every one , I have a small problem , my friend stalled a bigger converter and ask me to tune it . Actually I havent tune a stall before .Altough I often use HPtuners , but never had the chance to tune converters and here comes the chance . So how can I do that ??? I know it is something related to: (versus TPS) , (versus tcc and versus apply release speed) . What sould I do? how can I tune it , I was very tired yesterdy with no results .
any professions around here???? could help????

I plade with mine for two weeks. Had it working great. Loved the locing up part of it. I kept getting codes. Went to the track last weekend. All went great until the fourth pass. Smoked the trans. I have no idea if the tune caused it, or if the big staull did it, or if it was time. So, all the advise I can give you is, be very carfule, run from it if you can. AND DON"T TAKE MY ADVICE since I broke mine

I found it a trick thing to get right and I basically
punted on 3rd gear lockup, just eliminated it
altogether. I like it that way anyhow, 3rd on the
street with no lockup. 4th gear I just tweaked at it
until I got it locked at my normal cruise TPS at all
speeds. The interplay of lock/unlock with shiftpoint
is kind of odd in the stock GM profile, but you don't
notice on account of the low stall speed. If you pick
one of my later tune .bins off Horist's repository site
the trans tables are an OK place to start, based on
a 3000RPM stall speed and 3.42s (earlier versions
I was on 3.23s).

make sure it doesnt hiht thhe rev limiter on the 1-2 or 2-3 shift...if so start with your shift points...then decide like jimmyblue if you want it to lock in 3rd...without a cam i usually leave it so it will lock up early in 3rd gear and also change the lockup in 4th other then that i dont usually need to do much.
