Default KIlled an SRT-4

I was cruising down 290 and a red SRT-4 with all kinds of stickers and **** rolls up on me. It had a loud blow off valve, exhaust, and who knows what else. So we slow down to a 50 roll and we both hit it. I immediatly took a car on him and kept pulling after that. The guy way actually cool and gave me a thumbs up. Not the coolest kill story, but a kill nonetheless.

I won't let it go. There is a guy who lives around here who BRAGS about the following:

Spent like 30K for the car, ran a stock 14.2. Was happy as two little boys behind a wood shed!

Then spent another 19K in goodies, N2o, bigger boost, 18" wheels w/ DR's, all the bypass and exhaust CRAP, and almost everything he could fit in the motor, and like 300 stickers (even keeps reciepts to prove it)

So now he has about 50K in his car.

And very proud of his new time of 12.0. All for only just shy of 50K. And he had the nerve to try a blown Z06 on the highway with another buddy of mine riding with him (my buddy just needed a ride) and lost using half a bottle of N20 trying to catch up.

Yeah, they are no joke.

You can take any ls1 powered car and put 2K in it and get in the 11's.

no actually you can get one for 20k not 30k and one of my buddies has only spent about 10 in his and i would put money on it, that he could pull any ls-1 with some bolt on's, now im not bashing ls-1's, i love them and i cant wait to get one. I just think that you should see one run with a stage 3 and some more goodies then you might think twice about puttin those little things down

30K for a SRT, when they were stickered 19.9K in 2003 and 20.9K in 2004/2005? ....... 50K total into the car??? ****, tell him my 2000 SS is for sale......40k out the door...

Your "friend" needs to kill himself...... "if" this story is true, he is one dumbsht...

Actually, tell him to call me. I have some great vacation time share properties in Fallujah he may be interested in investing some of that money into.... Warm, cozy, and the locals are "crazy" about Americans.....

BTW, I've personally seen a full weight (zero weight reductions) SRT with 6k into it runs back to back 11.1s @ 132.......stock internals, stock suspension, stock axles, stock tranny

Let me know if you want the vid, this way your friend can kill himself.....what a retard.

Um, he is not a friend of mine, yes he is a retard, and yes he spend money on mods that didn't do ****...but I was not at all impressed with his car. What is really funny....he has a laptop installed under his passenger seat, that....he tries to say, controlls his n20...I saw him watching a DVD on it one day...again, he is not my friend...he is a tool.

Since when is a low 14 second car from the factory a joke? Was the LT1 a joke? This is all relative. Eventhough the SRT-4 is considerably off the pace of a stock LS1, I would still consider the car quick. Yes...quick when compared to the commuter cars we see every day. If we were to take a poll, i'd bet that the percentage of cars on the road in the US today that run a 14-second quater mile today is less than 10%. So in my books 15-16 is decent, 14 is quick, 13 is fast, 12 extremely fast, 10-12 insane, under 10...well that's just a track car for the streets. If we are measuring the SRT-4 against a yardstick such as the vehicles owned by the members of this board, then yes. The SRT-4 is slow, but by no means are the cars on this board average.

Now I understand where you're coming from. A Neon would seem fast to you if you think 13 second cars are fast...and a 12 second car is extremely fast?

My book reads like this:

13 second cars are slow.
12 second cars are slow.
11 second cars are slow.
10 second cars are slow.
9 second cars are on the verge of getting fast.
8 second cars are fast.
7 second cars and under are fast.

My friend's stock Hyabusa feels slow to me so where do you think that puts a Neon? In the *******...

They are respectable, numbers-wise.

Other than that though, they are one of the rinky dinkiest looking cars on the road. 'Makes me think of reborn Yugo.
