Default Truck TB on TA

Hey there I just port and polished my Tb I had laying round and put it on my Hawk. Then I realized the cams were different and the throttle cable was too lng. Should I get a different cable or grind off the cams and switch them then weld them back on?

Thanks Ace

I run a ported truck TB on mine. What I did was make a spacer to take up slack at the pedal. To make the spacer I cut a piece of aluminium brake line I had lying around and used a dremel to slice it length wise so I could slide it over the line. Once I got it in place I shrink wrapped it twice with some electrical wire shrink wrap. It seems to do the trick, I havn't had any problems. Few other people have used rubber hose but that didn't work for me.

If you have TCS on your car you should be able to adjust your cable.

Yeah, it's a quick easy fix. I think my spacer was only a 3/4" or so. Let me know how it works.

I ported a truck core and swapped on my throttle shaft and
PCV nipple. The body is in fact the same casting number, it's
just the various fittings that are different.
