saturday at the local 1/8 mile track i was stage and leaving and on this pass(prob my 4th of the day) i just looked at my oil pressure during my launch....during WOT my oil pressure is 75-80 left the line at 6500(only a 1.67 60ft) and weight transfers back and droooop goes the pressure down to like 45 and as the car comes back down and somewhat level it goes back up to normal anyone else have this? im sure its just the oil sloshing to the back of the pan but is this dangerous/harmful to the motor, didnt seem to effect my times any i equalled my all time 1/8 mile best at a track i run 2 tenths slower at than all the others around so the car is strong

Happens to everyone. If you are low on oil it can make a difference. I always check my oil before heading out to the track. I also put 1/2 quart extra in my motor.

it has 6quarts in it.....you use more than that?

I acutally use 7qts.

45 pounds of oil pressure is bad? haha I rarely even saw that at full throttle!

my WOT pressure is near 80.....i visually watched it go down at least 20psi on launch
