I'm thinking 28-30 lbs would be fine. I'm wanting less than 80% duty cycle. I know some say that 85% is exceptable but I prefer 80%. I'm about to install a cam and headers and will probably want to increase the flow rate of the injectors sometime thereafter to help maintain ample fuel supply in all conditions.

My car just got done being tuned.. all the bolton's and a cam, hit 402 rwhp, and I'm running the stock 01 injectors, they are at about 79%. I do believe that the 01 model year ( probably other years as well ) came with 28.xx lb injectors.
If you are gonna buy a set... always go bigger than you need, that way down teh road you won't have to do it again. The duty cycle can always be turned back, can only go so far up. I know that the next round of mods HP wise for me are gonna be a bigger fuel pump, 42 lb'ers and a 90/90 intake setup.

I figure around 400 rwhp will be about it for me if I decide I need anything more I'll buy a tc and hope to hook up on the street with some suspension mods and good tires. I have 26lb factory injectors in it right now should be able to support 360-380 rwhp I'm guessing but I believe I'll want to upgrade sometime in the future to 28-30 lbs depending on cost.

All i know is that for longevity of the parts and the car i wouldn't run the injectors above 80% that is + or - 5% i would go ahead and change them from that 80% (if 76% i would change them to higher ones) but thats just me and maybe being too safe, but thats just me.

see you can change your fuel pump from the standard 48 psi (really 50) to a 60psi set up and get a little bit more out of you injectors; but thats if you don't plan on doing much at a time. Either way i see it if you are going to do a lot go ahead and get a larger fuel pump (higher psi) and larger injectors. And you can just about keep you gas mileage if you tune it right.

Also, this is LS1tech.. all LS1 based engines run 58-60psi from the factory. He was just correcting the guy that posted above him, who claimed they run 50psi. The only car I've ever heard of that runs 50psi stock is the GTP's, and I only know that because you mentioned it in a fuel injector thread a while back.
