Expected 1/4 mile and 60'
hey guys, I'm going to the track tomarrow with a couple of friends. I am in the process of installing a nitrous kit that will not be ready for tomarrow getting back on topic, I recently aquired Nitto Drag radials. My best run was as you see in my sig. and that was with a 2.1 60'. My question is how much improvement can I expect running these tires (60' and 1/4 mile). Also, this is my daily driver so should I just mount them on a spare set of rims and only use them to go to the strip?

Nitto DRs should get you at least 0.2 seconds in the 60 foot and about 0.3 to 0.4 seconds in the 1/4 mile. Could knock 1/2 second off (and get in the 12's!) if you do everything right (burnout, launch, shift, weather, etc.).
Let us know how the Nittos did for you. Also if your car is an auto or 6-spd.

Thanks guys, I have not ran them on the track yet but I did take them for a test drive. All I can say is that it is a night and day difference over my street tires. Dumped the clutch a 3.5K and the only sqeaked. I will post some times when I go to the track next week. I will also hopefully be spraying a 150 shot. I somehow doubt that I would want to run NA, but if I can get a couple of passes I would love to check the difference. PS pray for my stock 10 bolt.

I was thinking about getting the nitto drag radials, but I'm worried about my 10 bolt and drive shaft. Let me know how yours hold up because I really don't want to be breakin at the track and being towed home.
