i have the same car, and i'll be going with the FM14 112+2. only things i'm missin are the UD pulley and a catback. my 9" will suck a little power out of the combo, but i'm not too worried.

just make sure you get a good tune with this cam, and match the gears. Candy @ FMS said I'd be better off w/4.10s but my gas mileage is gonna suck bad enough w/the cam and current gears.

TSP Magic Stick v.3 ("MS3") Camshaft: 237/242, .603"/.609", 113 LSA - Clears Stock Pistons with Stock Cylinder Heads!
Love my tr224 but if I were to switch it would be to a TSP. Maybe not the magic stick, but a TSP none the less.

how will the ms3 drive with the stock 3:42 gears?

would I be better off getting a set of tea stage 1.5 5.3l heads and matching them up with the tr224 or just get a bigger cam?

I have 4.30 gears with an m6, f13 cam and all mods in sig. I get 22 mpg on the highway and only turn 2200 rpm's at 80 mph. The tune is the most important thing to do after a cam swap.

what would be the benefit of having a heads and cam tr224 car over just getting a bigger cam? What setup would pull harder up top and down low? the car is 95% street driven

Ported heads flow better and should provide better power from bottom to top. The bigger cam puts it up top. The fact that your 95% street would also make the heads a better choice. But thats my opinion. I like a cam and heads instead of just a cam. I'm not going for a cam only title.

Yes. I believe it would. You have better heads though. Maybe they'll flow enough for the fm14 to outdue a tr224 w/1.5 rev 2 tea's. Maybe not.

Absolutely, and be easier to daily drive.

35-40 additional hp is what brent at tea told me. I almost bought them but the wife was on the warpath so I didnt push it but if money was different I would have in a heartbeat. Yes they'd work for a different cam in the future as well.
