Default Fast 90mm Throttle body fix?

I have searched and cant find a fix for the fast throttle body problems.. IS there a fix? My car drives and accelerates no problem, but it likes to idle at 2k.. If i tap the gas it sometimes goes to 1.5k. After sitting for a min it might or might not go back down. It always idles fione at start up.. its only when i am drving around and stop..

Let's see...there is the "peen mod" where you dent the housing around the rim of the bearings to keep them from walking out of their pockets...refer to your stock TB, its bearings are peened.

There is the "drill mod" where you remove the throttle cam set screw, mark it's location on the shaft, remove the cam, drill a slight indentation in the shaft to allow the set screw to set into the shaft.

Hold the TB up to a light source and look for an even clearance between the throttle blade and housing...if you can't see light all the way around, then the blade may be scrubbing the bore, causing the blade to stick. I used sand paper to smooth down the areas of the blade that were scrubbing the bore.

Mikey at Rapid Motorsports recommends puting some electrical tape on the throttle shaft where the TPS slides on to "tighten up" the fit of the TPS on the shaft. He also recommends slotting the TPS mounting holes to allow it to be rotated to adjust for proper voltage readings. Check out these threads:

That's unbelieveable...to have to have to all that trouble on such an expensive part. FAST should be ashamed of themselves for not fixing all these problems by now .

The best fix is to stick it back in the box it came in, ship it back to them, ask for a refund, and call nick williams or TPIS.

I dont get it. I had NO PROBLEMS WITH IT! The car did not hang at all at 2k. Just went right down to 875 rpms where we have the idle set.

I stand behind everything I sell. I am going to look for my recipt. Hopefully I have it and I will send it to you. I did not have this problem. I will look for it. You could just call fast and talk to them about it. Its that easy trust me.

Time for a TPIS or a Nick Williams.
The FAST is a total POS.

I would send it back to fast. Call them and speak to Hadley Owens and let him know what is going on.

FWIW, I had to send 2 back. The 3rd has been on for 2 weeks and is now working fine (it stuck on the first drive after install but has not stuck since then). I wrapped the TB shaft with electrical tape to insure a tight fit to the TPS. I get very accurate TPS readings and no sticking.
