Default When to add subframe connectors?

I just put a pair of M/T drag radials on the car today and now it just goes -- no spin on the street at all. The front end comes way up during take off and during shifts. This is all great fun, but am I in danger of twisting the unibody? At what power level or 60-foot time should subframe connectors really be added?

My limited experience with subframe connectors on brand X was that the car "stiffened up" quite a bit, and I was not really happy with a rougher ride. Do subframe connectors on the 4th-gen F-bodies turn them into "rough riders"?

Thanks!

Yep, I agree, I waited to long and my t-tops don't fit snug anymore and both the
t-tops and the hatch leak if it rains hard enough. Plus everything that could rattle does. Of course now I can't hear it with my open headers and silly loud 12-bolt. But it used to be a nice car.

I don't know guy's, I heard that subframe connectors are a waste...

Hold it, Hold on.... If you are going to go with a roll cage down the road.

Apparently, if you have a roll bar (6pt and up I assume) the roll bar stiffens up the car more than enough and the SFC's just become a weight handicap?

I am not sure if this is true, but I heard it from a very fast person.

They told me don't bother with them if I am getting a roll cage installed.
(I am planning on a nine sec. approved set up)

My Z28 is a hard top if that means anything.

It kind of makes sense to me actually, and this was the guy who was going to sell me the SFC. I was going to get SFC and the cage.
Seems kind of honest to me?

I have both a roll bar and SFCs. The car is very stiff. I would do both. I did the SFCs first and then the bar. I have zero chassis flex.

if you are pulling the wheels you already risk twisting the frame....
and both cage and sfc are the way to go. i ordered my car and had sfc waiting in my garage for when the car came in. it was the first mod i did.

I'd still get the subframes regardless, then tie the cage into them later down the road.

One mod that you can actually feel and these cars need them.
