Crankshaft position sensor
99 ss, heads/cam.
under hard exceleration it is really boggy, almost like a dead injector, but at steady idle, it's fine. While the rpm's rise upon exceleration, it goes in and out of this sluggish performance. I am suspecting a bad crankshaft position sensor. I had it scanned with a snap on diagnostics tool and no codes are coming up. I have replaced plugs, fuel filter and tps, and it still does it. I thought maybe a bad tank of gas but nope. Other possibilities I thought could be, mass air flow, plug wires, maybe a bad injector, bad o2 sensors, I have o2 sims. Could somebody give me some pointers? There is no backfiring either, but in nuetral at a steady 3500 rpms, i *think* I hear a slight popping sound. This seems like a miss but unsure. Can I have the crankshaft position sensor relearn or do I have to buy a new one and have it relearn?
Thanks,
Kyle
