Default LS6 cam w/ 1.8 rockers?

My buddy wants to put a cam in his 00 TA. He doesn't want to be able to hear the cam, so would a LS6 cam w/ 1.8 rockers work? What would be the final lift and duration? Also, what size pushrods would be needed? TIA

It depends on which LS6 cam he uses.

01 - 204/211 525/525 116. --- final lift would be 556/556.
02+ - 204/218 551/541 117.5 ---- final lift would be 583/573.

I'd go with a MTI Stealth II cam, 224/220 576/581 116. he won't hear it much if at all and he'll definitely see a ton more power than if he went the LS6 cam route.

Yes you can do that. 1.8 will add about .030 lift to the cam. He will need to get some Comp 918 springs to handle the .585 lift with the '02+ cam. The 918 springs are beehive like the factory and you can reuse the retainers he has.

works fine, i have my shiftpoints at 6200rpm and HP is still climbing, i use the 7.4 pushrods and dual rev springs
UPDATE: it quite rocks, even with conservative timing, it makes so much power i ran out of 26.4# injectors so yea, it's a good little combo
